Crackers & Dips

Almond Sesame Crackers

These crackers are another staple. Very quick and easy to make too!

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups almond flour

  • ½ cup sesame seeds

  • 1 large egg or chia/flax egg

  • 1 tablespoon olive or coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper or chilli flakes (optional)

Methods

  1. Place almond flour, sesame seeds, egg or chia/flax, oil, salt and pepper in a food processor.

  2. Pulse until dough forms.

  3. Place dough between two pieces of baking paper.

  4. Roll out dough as thin as possible, to about ⅛" thick.

  5. Cut into 2" squares using a knife or pizza cutter.

  6. Transfer to a large baking sheet.

  7. Bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.

Nut Bars

These are my favourite go to snack, which I keep in the freezer. Full of protein, fibre and good fat. You can make them without dried fruit to make them less sweet.
